Closette is a wardrobe companion for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what is needed to make the product work.
What you add to Closette
Closette can store wardrobe photos, clothing descriptions, style tags, purchase price, outfit plans, packing lists, wear history, ratings on generated outfits, preferences, and other content you choose to create. This information is used to provide closet organization, search, outfit suggestions, cost-per-wear insights, packing checklists, calendar planning, and related features.
Where your data lives
Your wardrobe is designed to stay on your device and, when you enable iCloud, in Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services associated with your Apple Account. Apple’s terms and privacy practices also apply to those services. Closette does not sell your wardrobe data.
Sharing outfits with friends
Closette lets you share a saved look with friends so they can react to it. When you share a look, its name, item details, and any reactions or comments are stored in a CloudKit zone associated with your Apple Account and made accessible to the people you invite — this is different from your personal iCloud sync, since shared content is visible to whoever you shared it with, not only to you. You choose what to share and who to invite; stopping a share or deleting your account removes this shared content and ends access for everyone it was shared with.
Photos, location, and weather
Photo access is used only when you choose to import or select wardrobe images. Location access is optional and is used to provide local weather context for styling. You can use a manual location instead, or turn access off in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Closette receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features, restore purchases, and recognize subscription status. Closette does not receive your payment card number.
Analytics and diagnostics
Closette uses local-only event and diagnostic storage with no remote analytics service configured. These local records support product quality and can be removed through account/data controls. If a future release introduces a remote analytics service, this policy will be updated before that change ships.
Sharing and third parties
When you choose to share an outfit or image through the system share sheet, iOS presents the share sheet and you decide which app or person receives it. This is separate from the in-app friend-sharing feature described above. We do not sell personal information or use wardrobe photos for advertising.
Retention and deletion
You can remove individual wardrobe content in the app. Deleting your account removes your local closet data — including packing plans and outfit ratings — and any looks or reactions you shared with friends through Closette, ending access for anyone they were shared with. Some purchase records may be retained by Apple for billing, fraud prevention, or legal requirements.
Children
Closette is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
